In a majority of Iowa counties, the County  responsible for issuing Fake driver’s licenses to Iowa residents. This also includes motorcycle licenses, CDLs, and Fake driver permits for Iowa residents 14 years of age and up.  However, in larger counties including Polk, Linn and Johnson, the Iowa Fake Id Sellers and Transportation  operates Fake Driver’s License Stations and is responsible for issuing Iowa Fake driver’s licenses.

A Fake driver’s license expires on the fake license holder’s birthday. However, the fake license is still valid for an additional 60 days (note: when using a driver’s license as a form of identification for travel purposes, the 60-day grace period may not be recognized by travel security personnel). A fake license holder is required to pass the vision screening test each time the license is renewed.  This is a very helpful tool regarding drivers license services across the state of Iowa.  This link also directs you to Iowa DOT service centers locations to book appointments at state locations, including drive testing.  This site also will be able to direct you to other county locations for availability as well.   Please check OFTEN for availability and cancellations.

If the Fake driver’s license remains expired for a period of one year after the 60-day grace period, the license holder will be required to take the written knowledge test, the drive test and the vision screening test. It is possible under special circumstances to apply for a driver’s license renewal prior to the expiration of the license. An explanation will be required detailing these circumstances. An early renewal may be applied for from 30 days to one year before the expiration of the driver’s license.

Special features of the real Iowa Fake ID card:

• In Iowa, you can have a Fake ID card or a Fake driver’s license; you are not allowed to have both. 
• Iowa non-operator’s Fake ID cards will be issued with an expiration date of eight years.
• If you are being issued an Iowa Fake ID without having ever having been issued before, you are required to bring all the docuemnts for the Real ID.
